Frequently Asked Questions

How much deposit do I need to pay?
We require a 50% deposit to confirm the booking and the balance is payable 6 weeks before your arrival. If you are booking within 6 weeks of the arrival date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Why do I need cancellation insurance?
Any cancellation made by the Client for whatever reason must be in writing. Every effort will be made to re-let the cancelled holiday let but, failing this, the entire rental fee will be payable. Balloch Park strongly recommends clients take out their own Holiday Insurance policy. A £35 admin fee applies to all cancellations. Should we have to cancel your holiday booking due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, we will make every effort to offer/find alternative accommodation. However, if this is not possible all monies paid to us in relation to the cancellation will be fully refunded. Our liability will not extend beyond this.

Can I bring a dog(s)?
Guests who bring dog/s must take full responsibility for their pet at all times and must pick up all fouling. Dog/s are allowed by prior agreement only. Guests must bring their own dog/s bedding & bowls. Dogs are not allowed into bedrooms or onto any furniture and must not be left unattended in the house at ANY time. Maximum of 2 dogs per property. Nightly charge per dog is £10.00. Please refer our Pet terms & conditions prior to booking.

Is it possible to book single sex parties/parties of young people?
While we welcome some celebration parties, we ask all guests to please respect the peace and tranquillity of the area and that noise be kept to a minimum with no noise/hot tub use after 10pm. Failure to observe these conditions may result in your party being asked to leave the accommodation and no refund issued. Reservations for more than 1 lodge MUST be made by telephone to 01887 830733, failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled and loss of any monies paid.

The properties are fully equipped – do I need to bring anything?
Please check under each individual property on our website. We send you a list of the provisions we supply on your final payment but they can also be found on our website under each individual property.

Is Broadband/Wireless access available?
While we offer complimentary Wi-Fi during your stay in all of the properties, it is not guaranteed due to our rural location. We do ask for no downloading or streaming to be done during your stay as the Wi-fi in the Kenmore area is not strong enough. Faults can occur from time to time which are unfortunately beyond our control.

Can I choose my bed configuration?
All our lodges offer zip & link beds to be either super king or twin.

Do you have allergy free pillows and duvets?
With each property comes with synthetic bedding.

Can we smoke in the property?
No. We have a strictly No Smoking policy in all our holiday accommodation.

What time do I arrive and depart the property?
Access to all properties is from 4pm and departure time is by 10am. Unfortunately due to the seasons getting busier, we cannot offer earlier check in but you are more than welcome to arrive and use the onsite facilities.

Do we have a Hot Tub?
Tanfield, Lyon Lodge, Rowan, Osprey, Peeler, Fionn and Sybilla all have hot tubs (Tay Lodge & Appin Lodge do not). On each departure, all hot tubs are drained, cleaned and water replenished prior to each arrival. If your property is a changeover then this may mean that your hot tub will not be ready for use until the morning after arrival.

Do we have a Sauna?
Fionn has a 2 person Sauna, Peeler and Sybilla both have a 6 person sauna

Do we have a swimming pool?
No but a fantastic new pool on the Breadalbane Community Campus in Aberfeldy (6 miles), as well as a climbing wall, sports hall and multi-gym. The lovely sandy bay in Kenmore is ideal for safe swimming and paddling when the weather permits.

Do we have a restaurant?
Yes! The Courtyard bar and restaurant is on our Estate approx. 1.5 miles from Balloch Park and is a lovely place to eat or relax or pop in for a drink. For the winter times they have the log burning stoves and for the better weather an outside decking area for eating and drinking al fresco! Dogs are welcome in the bar area and children are welcome throughout the establishment. Sample menus available to look at on the website. There is also a good choice of other eating establishments within easy reach.

Is Reception open at the weekends?
Yes. We are open 9am – 6pm, 7 days a week.
